The rear paddler sits on the stern and the front paddler sits on the thwart. The thwart also stiffens up the hull and makes it possible for either paddler to stand for short periods for casting and scouting. This makes it the best fishing model in the lineup.
Alpacka recommends the Aquabound Shred-Apart 240cm paddle with the Rendezvous. Use it in canoe configuration when you have two paddlers and want to make time. Use it in kayak paddle configuration so the rear paddler can operate the boat and the front passenger can fish, watch wildlife, or prepare a mid-river lunch.
