At the shorter lengths, it balances incredibly well in hand due to the counterbalance of the collapsed sections. At 13'7", it offers the smoothest casting of any Tenkara USA rod at this length. It provides a confident feel when casting and playing fish of all sizes. With a 22.5" closed length, the Satoki is easy to pack to that larger river or neighborhood pond you'll be fishing.
The handle has a natural double-tapered design to give the angler options for holding the rod comfortably in differnet circumstances. The designers opted for durable foam construction to match the heavier use anticipated for the rod. The Satoki handle assembly has a striking woven graphite finish, with classic reddish brown segments throughout the rod. The Satoki also features the Tenkara USA (patent pending) "keep your plug" system and triple zoom functionality.
