This leash is built to last. No cheap plastic "hardware" that always ends up breaking and having to be thrown away. These leashes are made from highly durable, 1" webbing. The leather they chose is a 6/7 ounce Latigo leather, which thrives in the harsh outdoor conditions of the Rocky Mountains and beyond. The 1" scissor snap and rivets are all made of solid brass to resist corrosion. No plastic "hardware".
